Patchouli & Buriti scrub by Nubian Heritage

Danka from the Natureal eshop was so nice that she gifted me with a patchouli Nubian Heritage body scrub. Patchouli is not my favourite scent, for me it is heavier scent, more suitable for the winter. I thought this scent won´t work for me… but oh boy, i was wrong. The smell of this scrub is totally amazing and i love it! And i am not the only one 🙂

A couple of years ago, I tried conconut-papaya body milk from Nubian Heritage, the scent wasn´t that amazing for me (i couldn´t really smell the coconut in it). But I was otherwise happy with it. Colleague has recently bought mango hand cream and it smells so amazing!  I have a strong feeling that I will have to also buy it soon 🙂 You will love Nubian Heritage products if you prefer a stronger scent in cosmetics. Nothing for too sensitive noses 😉

Strong. Sweet. Intriguing. And also a little bit powdery. That´s how this scrub smells. Its sweet smell may be more suitable for winter, but if you like oriental scents in the summer, you will enjoy it. Danka included in the package a sample of the body oil. She poured it in the roll-on. So that’s really practical! This oil also has a strong scent, so I use it instead of perfume. I do not know if I would want this all over my body (it could be too strong), but use instead of perfume is ideal. Few of my friends tried it on and they loved it as well!

I love this scrub! It contains nourishing butters and oils, but the skin is not too greasy , just nicely moisturized. Sugar in in this scrub does not “swim” in oils, they are kinda soaked into sugar. You can scoop it like an ice cream, if you want to have fun with it ?  After scrubbing my skin smells heavenly,  i can smell the scent of the scrub from my towel and pillows as well. As I have already mentioned, fragrance can be too strong for sensitive noses. If you love fragrant cosmetics, you will be in 7th heaven 🙂

Ingredients: Sugar, Glycerin (Vegetable), Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Olea Europea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Fragrance (Essential Oil Blend), Theobroma Grandiflorum (Cupuacu) Butter, Organic Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Rosa Canina (Rose Hip) Seed Extract, Magnifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, Mauritia Flexuosa (Buriti) Fruit Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Pogostemon Cablin (Patchouli) Oil

I know some people avoid glycerin in cosmetics, but I do not have a problem with it. I like a nice selection of oils and butters in this scrub. Cupuacu butter nourishes dry and damaged skin, fights free radicals, softens and accelerates skin regeneration. Who else is obsessed with the mangos in the summer? I love it fresh, dried, in the form of ice cream, juice … or whatever 😀 Definitely belongs among my favorite tropical fruits. Really happy that this scrub contains mango butter. It has anti-aging properties and again its is excellent for dry skin. Well, I have to mention the buriti oil, since if it’s even in the product name ? Buriti oil is an exotic treasure of the Amazon forest – buriti is also considered a tree of life. This oil strengthens, softens and protects skin – it contains vitamin C, E, beta-carotene and essential fatty acids. Since the butter and oils in the composition have a similar effect, it can be said that their combination has nourishing, soothing and softening effect on the skin.

The base of the scent is patchouli oil. it is perfect for the evening ? It is sultry, aphrodisiac, but also relaxing and antidepressant. After a long day / week you have to indulge a bit ? In addition, it is anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, toning and astrigent, so it is definitely beneficial to the skin. It repels annoying insects and attracts guys 😉

The sugar does not have a large crystals, so it´s not rough on the skin. It removes dead cells, but it doesn´t irritate my skin. The skin remains nourished, and I do not need to put on any lotion. Well and for me the biggest bonus – I smell great ? My boyfriend likes this scent on me – so double win!

You can buy this Nubian Heritage scrub at for 13,9€/340g.
